anybody have a kenne bell on 5.0

I would buy a paxton or a vortech. my opinion for the money you are gonna spend on the k.b. you can buy a way better blower and make more boost. I am not a big fan of the roots style blower.

Ya if you want one you will have to replace or have rebuilt every so thousand miles, Kenne Bell are the best out there & there prices are not more expensive either, actually for there advertised boosts there less expensive & more reliable & a whole bunch of etc,etc I heard but don't know if it's true.

For a daily driver, you can't beat a KB. I recommend you decide before ordering, what you eventually want to be putting out HP wise. I spent a little bit of extra money and got the blowzilla kit so that I wouldn't have to buy it again once my new motor is complete and ready to drop in. If you plan to keep your stock short block then get the 1.5L kit. Either kit will benefit from a Tmoss ported GT-40 lower. One other nice thing about the KB are the all of the different ways there are to increase boost pressure other than just changing the pulley. Cold air kit, ram air kit, larger throttle body and EGR spacer, pretty much anything that reduces inlet restriction to the blower will have an increase on output volume and pressure. They're great blowers but terrible suckers. hehe

Edit: Keep in mind that the 7lb or 9 lb pulley is based upon you having the stock sized throttle body, spacer, and air box. Larger aftermarket pieces will make the 7lb pulley push 9lbs of boost etc...

Don't skimp on the AFR meter. If you plan to install and tune it yourself the BUY THE AIR/FUEL RATIO METER!!!!

The KB is a screw type unit, not a roots type. Doesn't make near as much heat.
