Anybody have NKG irridium spark plugs?

Replacing plugs next weekend and have heard that platinum sucks. Are the NKG irridium plugs worth the money over copper plugs if I'm running N/A. Mods in sig. What is everyones fav. plug and cheap places to buy.

In a n/a vehicle, copper is probably going to produce as much power and spark as the iridiums. However, the iridiums might last a bit longer. I have a set awaiting install. You can see they are in my "to come" mods and I will be getting them installed soon. I'll let everyone know how they are when I get them in there.

I put them in my 99 at around 64k and the first time firing up the vehicle there was a considerable difference in the start (much quicker and smoother) and general operation felt a bit more solid.

Yea, i have to agree. When i put in the NGK's i noticed a snappier response from the the throttle.

I have the NGK TR55 Iridiums. I saw no improvement over the NGK TR55 coppers I've been running, although I'll leave these in longer than 15,000 miles since they aren't nearly as cheap as the coppers. When these come out the NGK coppers are going back in.

i put them in. Didn't notice any difference. I like the NGK Vpower's better TR55 I believe

NGK's usually are but I'd check them.

IMO just get TR55's. They work great, and are cheap (~$1.15ea.). No one installs plugs as a HP mod. Just DO NOT overtighten them, and use spark plug antiseize, or you'll be very, very sorry. Our heads have soft, shallow plug threads. I only turn mine 1/8 of a ratchet turn past finger tight.

I've had my NGK Iridiums for two years now and they still look new. SOME would say they're not worth the money...have they used them? Probably not...IMO and EXPERIENCE, they were worth the money. The gap is pre-set but you should check any plug before you install them. If for some reason you do have to gap them, be very careful not to touch the electrode as it is very brittle and may break.

You notice a little difference in idle and upper RPM performance...

just got done, checked the gap on all of them and it was correct. Man that number 3 was a PITA. Does feel like it has a little more up top, may just be because the plugs are new though.

NGK's usually are but I'd check them.

What are you running on your 2K GT? I have the TR-6's and am happy with them so far......also gapped at .034.
