After about a year and a half of stand still Im finally getting some work done on my car. Due to some fitment issues i had to make a custom fan shroud (which turned out AWSOME and cheap).

Anyways i don't know if i want to mess with cutting out the fan from the shroud and using it or just putting in one or two new ones.

So thats why i would like to know what cfm the stock fan is running.

Cars coming along pretty fast again. If I wasn't leaving for germany for the next couple of weeks i would venture to say i would have it up and running by the end of the month.

I just finished up my fuel system the other day. I need to weld on the brackets for my brake lines and i will be completely done with the rear end and can set the car down and measure for the driveshaft. I just ordered my B&M tranny cooler. So all and all i have electrical left and i need mufflers..

That should be enough to get it on the street in limp mode anyway and break it in a little.

Then after that comes the a/f gauge, boost controller, maybe a snow kit, TUNING, and some paint on at least the bumper.

any progress pics?

I did find this doing a cursory google search:
http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2003/02/electricfan/index.php

says at the top that it pulls an estimated 2000cfm.

Here are some pics (don't mind the mess)... From similar fans i have seen on ebay, they are advertising that they are 2500 cfm on low and 4000 cfm on high.. Seems kinda high to me?

Actually I think those numbers are right. I've read awhile ago 2600 cfm on low and 3800 cfm on high. So basically anywhere from 2500-4000 cfm.

What Joe said is what sticks with me. As my point of reference, a stock fox mech fan pulls ~2700 CFM as I recall. I don't see the 94-95 fans pulling less than that, given the tight confines and underhood heat.

There is enough variance in CFM testing (some will extrapolate the flow as if the fan motor itself was not an impediment, etc) that who knows. There is a populalr fan out there that advertises 2400 CFM and as much as I ask folks for info about how it even works, no one replies (this is on another forum).

Moneypit, that's pure sexy hotness you have under the bonnet.
