i had a chance to drive a g35 coupe auto today . thing hauls ass IMO and handles/brakes great. Anybody else drove 1 or had a run in with 1 , I'm wonderin how it stacks up to the common modded 94-5's ( gears, exhaust etc)
when i had 3.73's, underdrive pulleys, prochamber, 3 chamber flows, cold air, i ran one from a dig except i didnt launch i just rolled out because i did not think he was going to go... he went and i chased so he got about half a car jump on me, by 110 mph he was about 2 and a half cars on me which is not bad considering it has 280 hp lol, also consider that i was not that good of a driver then (first stick car), his car was an auto
When i had 3.73s, catback, and a CAI. I raced one and took it by a car or so. They are mid 14 second cars stock. I ran 14.30s with those mods. So there ya go.
I raced the 4 door one from a roll and I pulled about a half a car to about a car on them. Same engine as the 350Z but with the added weight. So yeah Mid 14s they run. They are cool looking but the price tag is a little high for my likings. But, I am only 18 and all I really care about right now is speed, not luxury. So what do I know? It's a good all around car but it depends on what you are looking for.
I've raced a few, they're not all that fast ... The newer model is making some pretty sweet power now though. 298 / 280 !
I'd say it'd be a pretty fair fight between a lightly modded SN95 with full exhaust and intake mods and gears vs a stock (older) G35. I wouldn't mess with the newer coupes.
