Anybody use smaller brake booster or get rid of abs?

If i can swap out a smaller brake booster i can save some money on my turbo kit. A 93 brake booster is small enough but im not sure if it can be swapped out? Anybody do a hydrobrake booster swap like a 99?

Also my new rear end won't have room for exciter rings so i might as well get rid of my abs. Any body do this and what kind of problems did you run into?

i just got done deleting the abs, i still need to bleed and test drive. the weather here has been a mess.

you dont want to go with a smaller booster, you wonty have as much braking power and that would be retarded. people have done hydroboost, check out turbomustangs. if you run into space issues and think the brake booster is your only "out" you need to rethink your design.

To tell you the truth Brian from B&G said if swapped out it would be cheaper. This was his idea and i was just getting a feel for it. Right now its costing me an extra $150 so he can get by it.

Before throwing out big words like "retarded" and telling me i better rethink my design, you better find out the whole cituation first because im pretty sure Brian knows what he doing and talking about.

Also im thinking if i get rid of the abs that should help out on how much extra help i would need with a brake booster. (could be wrong on that one?)

don't let some wieners on stangnet get you rattled. i really don't think getting rid of abs would help compensate for a booster change. however i do think if you put a smaller booster on you could change the m/c to one that typically has a softer pedal--to offset the more effort required by the smaller booster.

the cobra m/c comes to mind, people seem to think the cobra pedal is a bit softer than a gt pedal that has cobra brakes on it. just a thought.

are you running any kind of drag brakes? why not go manual?

I have thought about manual but i will be driving this on the street a lot and i would like to keep as many comforts as i can. I will have to look into the idea of new master cylinder.

Like i said im just trying to get a feel for this. If anything i leave it as is and im out a little money. (sometimes worth the hassle)

making your brakes worse on purpose is retarded. so tell me your whole "cituation" or situation.. sure its easy to say "get rid of this or that" to make more room, but im sure there is another way to do it without sacrificing saftey...
if youre saying that its costing an extra $150 if you keep the big booster, its a no brainer, that $150 worth of braking power could come in handy...

you could probably save money if you dumped the exhaust straight out of your fenders, or maybe if you deleted your power steering, some things just arent worth losing

check out the hydroboost setup, a 93 booster will definately fit i know for a fact...
