I know ive posted about this several times before, but i just want to get things straight so i dont blow my motor or my mind! Ive got a 95 GT. My mods include BBK shortys, Off Road H pip, Flowmasters, Cobra upper and lower intake, Ford Racing trans, centerforce clutch and 3.73 gears. Everything else is STOCK. Stock fuel pump, stock injectors, etc...

I just purchased a Vortech Strim kit for the car. According to vortech, the kit has everything needed for instal and its pretty much plug and play. Its got a retard box and a FMU i think. Will i be ok running this with all my stock parts? My car has almost 60k miles on it. What do i have to upgrade? This a 8lb kit and i plan on adding a power pipe for S&G

What do you think this setup will run? Im comfortable at the track and have a good set of BFG drag radials for traction. Any guess on my dyno numbers? I hoping to avoid a tune as that will cost me like $600 and vortech says i wont need it anyways all else being stock. Ill get it to avoid blowing my engine, but money is tight!

Sorry to beat this into the groud, but i just want to MAKE SURE ya know, this is a huge investment for me.

I still have the stock injectors/maf/fuel pump. I just have an FMU and inline fuel pump. I see about 10lb would see more but I get belt slippage. I also HIGHLY recommend getting in tuned. Not only did my car gain what felt like 50hp I also know that I am not going to blow up my car.

I noticed your in Detroit...were did you get it tuned at and what did they charge you? What are you qm times? What were your dyno numbers?

The supercharger its self wasnt to huge an investment, but i did some other stuff at the same time. I ended up spending about 5k! Thats alot of loot for me!

Thanks again

you don't need to get bigger injectors. You should get a better mass air though. the kit comes with a fuel pump and the FMU, so you'll be okay with it. I agree that you should get a tune, but its different for everyone. You may need it right away cause the car won't run well after, but other cars will be fine.

60k miles is prime miles for modding! broken in, and yet not worn. Excellent time for a supercharger. Congrats!

I got it tuned at Alternative tuned in Clinton Twp. I believe he charged me around 200 but I already had a chip so he just re-flashed it. I honestly cant remember the exact price because it was like 3 years ago. He did not at the time have a dyno so I dont know what the car put down. My best time at the track was a 13.5 at 106 or so. That was with a 2.1 60ft. I know the car has a lot more in it. I want to get a fuel system and methanol injection so I can up the boost and mess with the timing. Are you in Detroit?

Inline pump. You might as well at least add an intake as well. They are only $100 and it will make the inline not work as hard.

What is $100? This sentence makes no sense to me, sorry.

Unless you have money set aside for a new engine, get the tune.
