I'm from Old Bridge,NJ, where raceway park is and Mike LaRocca's. I know a guy who knows Mike personally and actually had him build a 9 second 85GT. He is the only guy i have spoke to in person who deals with him. However, i have heard mixed things about his shop and stuff. Any first person opinions?

I have not dealt with them myself but the company recently changed hands and from what I hear the quality of work and service is nowhere near what it used to be. There are a couple complaint threads in the Northeast forum about them...thats just what I know but others may have been OK

Ive heard mixed story's even from years back. For the most part there pretty good. I'd take my 5.0 there before I'd take it to a regular shop, its there specialty.

i forget where i heard it, but they are supposed to be very good at one type of procharging or something with a certain type of fuel management and nothing else. heard that from a complaint, but i think it was for a modular. I know Mike LaRocca's mustang runs 8's. Cant argue with him there

Take the extra trip and just go to Mustang Magic. Ive heard a lot of mixed things about Laroccas, I have been to MM a few times and I have nothing but positive thoughts, they do AWESOME work, and they do it fast. Great prices too. Very much worth the trip.

The LaRocca's don't own it anymore, so that leaves more open to interpretation

I have also heard hacker stories about Mustang Magic, so I guess it's just a matter of doing your homework as best you can, talking with both places and seeing what feels right for you.
