A dumb thread but I'm curious if anyone else broke their gangster trunk release(yellow pull thing inside trunk) yet. I had my bowling bag in my trunk and it must have caught the release when I went around a turn and snapped it right off. I'm kinda pissed because the cable tore through the plastic about 4 inches! I blame ford for putting such a stupid device on my car in the first place(I know I know it was required by law).amnit:

You should have seen what my exwife did to my head with a bowling ball bag!

I'd take it to the dealership, tell them I accidentally locked myself in the trunk, and it snapped when I pulled it! Warranty 4TW!

That release tab glows in the dark, by the way. Seriously.

I had my bowling bag in the truck, and my trunk did open. I had to happen twice for me to figure it out. I got pissed and stuff the handle into the truck framing.

Remember, this all started with the press about someone who got locked into the trunk of an SN95 Mustang coupe. If anyone owns one of those, you would know that there are also two rear seat back releases, one for each side, in the trunk already. Instead of making such a big deal, all this unfortunately person needed to do, was to release the rear seat backs and get out that way.
