Hey all, I've had my vert since February and the back by the windows on both sides streams water when it rains. it sucks because it gets caught in the vinyl part that the top receeds (sp?) into and causes a pond that leaks onto my amps in my trunk!

Ford said I gotta make a service appt and see if it is covered under warrenty which is b/c you know they are going to charge me about what it will cost to buy a new top.

Any ideas what I should do? Can i SOMEHOW patch this myself?

My 00GT topped leaked. The liner had worn a little allowing water to leak on the driver's side bottom of the glass about 2 inches toward the outside of the car. I would get quite a puddle of water behind the rear seat. The fix was lifting the bottm vinyl off the glass and using HD 3M DS tape. Then apply black 100% silicon to at the glass/vinyl and on EACH side of the glass where the bottom vinyl meets the side vinyl.

Hard to explain but if you want more detail email me: bsbbelle@charter.net

What year is it and did you buy it from the same dealer you're going to take it back to?

If it's a new 03 or 04 they shouldn't be charging you a dime. That's what a warranty is for? Hell even if it's older than 03 and still under warranty it still should be covered.

Double O Drip

Mine always leaked in the back windows untill I realized that I had to put the back windows up first before the top.
