Smokin Deal on the GT Vert of my Dreams

Hi everybody I'm new to the forum and new to the Mustang scene. I had a 1972 Cutlass Supreme Vert with a 350 Rocket and a factory Hurst his and hers from 1981-1993. Unfortunately, I parked the car while I was going through college and somebody flatbedded her away :bang:. I got her back about 3 months later and all that was left was a frame and enough of the VIN number so that the highway patrol could charge me for the tow to the wrecking yard .

To make a long story short, I have always wanted to get another convertible. When the 05 Mustang came out with the retro styling and a convertible model I had to feed the need. With 245,000 miles on my 1988Cherokee it was about time to start looking. I visted a dealer here in Sacramento this weekend and took a test drive. Originally I was planning on spending V6 money but after driving the V8 GT I knew I would spend a little bit more.

The first choice on my list was a sweet 2005 GT vert 5sp manual in Mineral Grey. The car was in the lot with 32,725 on the window (MSRP of 33,525). The kicker was the car had 20" Zenetti's with 70 profile tires and had already been lowered by someone the dealer had contracted with. The original dealer asking price for this car was 46,000:crazy: . Believe it or not I didn't bite right away but instead sent the internet salesman a e-mail seeing what he would let the car go for. I went back to the lot on Sunday and spoke with a couple of sales people and the floor manager would not budge off of 32,725. Monday night I got a call from the internet sales manager at about 8 PM. I had just finished a long day of work and was burnt. He asked if had been down to see the car. I said yes. He told me to come down right now and he would take 2500 dollars more off of the window price or 30,225. The extra discount was enough to sell the wife and off I went with the check book in hand. Three hours later I was rolling down the highway with the biggest smile on my face I have had in years.:D

So for 30225 I got a Mineral Grey 2005 GT Convertible (black) Premium 5-sp manual with dark charcoal leather, Shaker 1000, interior upgrade, convertible boot. Zennetti Flow 20s and a professionally lowered vehicle (don't know the specks yet)  Financing was 3.9% through FMC.

Take a look at the pictures let me know what you thing of the car and the deal. If any body is in this neck of the woods, Sacramento Future Ford has several more 2005 manuals in stock (I don't work for the dealership). I know it is last years model and is technically a year old but I keep my cars forever.

Considering the upgrades I'd say you got a fair deal, was it pre-owned, if so...how many miles on it? Nice ride btw and welcome to...:SNSign:
You'll just keep grinning and grinning:D :D :D

201 miles at the time of purchase...probably quite a few test drives. $3300 below MSRP with $2500 wheels and lowering kit plus the labor. I'm still grinnin:D
