Ok.. I"m just wondering...cuz I'm thinking about 4.10's instead of 3.73's. Not really concerned with gas mileage as I hardly drive the highway. It'll be a long while before my car gets more than 300hp cranking..so I want the most bang for the buck for now. Any thoughts? Lemme know.

IMO 410's are rediculous with the T5. I drove one on quite a few occassions. 1st gear was pointless as it just propelled the car for about 10 feet. You cant go wrong with 373s or 355s

I like my 4.10's. I have a T-5Z though, it's first gear is only 2.95 as opposed to a stock 3.35. My OD is steeper too I think. I get 21 on the highway, so it doesn't bother me!

I have 3.73's as of now. And have purchased the 4.10's just waiting to install them. I feel that even the 3.73's are not short enough. But maybe its just me.

I guess my point is this. I have no need to go 160+ mph and my 5th gear as is seems pointless. so i will run 4.10's

I've got 4:56's but then again I mainly race the 1/8th mile where I live (1/8thmile track 5 minutes away) you think first is short with 4:10's haha. no, but I'd say if yuo're looking for a 1/4 mile gear 3:73's are nice but 4:10's aren't bad either

depends on the driver, some prefer 3.73's, i say don't fear the gear and get the 4.10's.

Depends on what you want to do in the future, with 3.73s your gonna be safer, to run a supercharger, nitrous, or possibly a turbo.

With 4.10s you could run out of gear with a power adder.

my friends 89 lx with 125 shot of nos with 4:10's doesn't run out of gear in the 1/4, but with the 4:56's I have to push the clutch in right before the finish line with nos.

You can always go with 3.90's. The reason why I didnt go 3.73's is because with a stock motor the RPM's like to drop. With 4.10's they stay nice and high. I felt they were best for me because I plan on running a taller tire with a 351W. It's fun down****ing into 3rd and having the car go sideways too.

The stock motor really dosent rev enough for 4.10's. But I still love them. Traction is gonna be a promblem I'm still trying to work it out. I've heard if you get good traction it feels like a 100 HP improvement. The neck snap is nice with 4.10's and a T5.

I have 4:10's and T5 in mine with an E cam and love it. I am in the process of a motor upgrade now and I am seriously looking at 4:56's. Love the 4:10's though and I get about 17mpg on the highway with a carburetor. I say get the 4:10's. That's my 2 cents.
