Anyone Else Buy Stuff You Don't Need?

Saw a '93 AMP for cheap on eBay. Bought it in case mine ever dies. Probably won't ever happen since I don't ever turn the radio on

What was this thread about again? Oh yeah...

love that oil pan seat
theonly thing holding me back on buying it is no title, so you cant insure or title it in your name
Could be stolen or 5 years from now after yu fix it up some guy knocks on your door saying he wants his car back

In Texas you can do a bonded title on something that cheap relatively easily and affordably, essentially giving you insurance against that to an extent. The key is not to fix it up too far until the time limit for a previous owner to claim it runs out. If you've seen the build thread on my II, you know I have nothing to worry about.

That thing is cooler than your car. o_O

Hey! You're NOT helping... Neither is my old man, he wants me to get it too. (And he wants to find a Maverick 2-door to "complete the set" of 70s Ford compacts... I didn't tell him I found a bitchin' '73 on CL while messing around.)

I'm thinking 5-lug conversion, finish the 5.0 swap, Old Air Products A/C, black interior with 2+2 seating, and painting the exterior GM medium Bahama blue metallic after fitting early 70s Pinto chrome bumpers to it and shaving everything but the door handles that can be.
