You people dont know what's like having a nice sunny day on saturday and then when you wake up in the morning on sunday there's 2 feet of snow that you need to dig out in 40 mile winds just to open your car door.

Actually, I do. I have lived in Alaska, Conn., Mass., Colorado, and Nebraska. Need I say more. That is why I live in wonderfull Oregon.

Yeah for you west guys snow is great because you have one or two storms per winter and it last maybe 2 weeks then all the snow is gone... Here in Québec, our winters are 6 months long, we have 2 months of - 40 C (That's - 40 F ), where everything is frozen, most of the cars dont start if you dont plug it during the night. We always drive in snowy pavement, crapola of ice, etc etc... Not a fan of winter at all here, considering they never close anything if there's snow here, it's buisness as usual even with a 20 inches accumulation... Come stay here 1 winter and you'll change your minds. Sure we can drift and handbrake on every corner but we have 6 months to do it so after a cpl weeks it's gettin boring lol That's why we have car called "winter beaters" here... In the summer you see a ****load of nice cars, and in the witner here everyone drives POS 4 cyl hondas rusty as hell. Heck, my first winter beater was an 86 Camaro t-top V6 with 3 bags of sand in the truck. Now that's a nice way to learn to drive in winter condition on your first winter. Anyway here everyone is very good in winter driving, as i said, when you drive half of the year in cold condition and snow youre getting used to it... It's very dangerous sometimes but you gotta be very careful and smart

It's supposed to snow up here on Friday. This city shuts down completely if there's even enough snow to stick. It only snows up here every couple of years, and the way I understand it, it's cheaper to shut Seattle down for those days than it is to maintain snow-clearing equipment. You read that right. No snowplows, no sanders, nothing. And with all these damn hills (Seattle is built on seven big-ass hills), every yuppie moron in an Eddie Bauer Edition AWD anything thinks he's suddenly in a Volvo commercial and decides to brave the elements. 400' of elevation + ten percent grade + snow - chains = a pile of expensive cars at the bottom of every street.

Me, I'll stay home and go sledding.

O.K. Ed, what was on your license plate? I actually had a Yellow Stang(maybe a 2003) try and draw me into a race through Astoria tonight, and I'm trying to be good, snicker. I had more fun keeping everyone at speed limit behind us, than in getting my rear end in trouble with the local police. I blinked my fog lights after he went on ahead...wasn't going to take the "bait".

My stang is not nearly as powerful as your cobra was, but it has 4.10s, posi of course, and its a pain in the ass just in the wet pavement. I'm not a fan of the tires either. So I'm sure in the snow or ice I'll just be sliding around till I hit something.

Two years ago, when I was still going to U of O, we had a ton of snow. My stang, which had nearly bald tires, 3.73's, race clutch, etc. was my only means of transportation to campus. I also lived on an insanely steep hill. I literally slid to the bottom of the hill and could not go any further. The next day, my two room mates pushed the car while I drove uphill in fourth gear- I barely got it back in the driveway. Two hours later, a three car pile-up occured right where I had been parked. That was the last time my stang ever went outside in the snow.

I thought it was going to be something like a phrase or funny statement. I spent a few minutes trying to figure out now 'sn98' made a word... like 'snine ate gt (whatever snine is).

I guess thats what I get for thinking too hard
