Anyone else have this problem?

On my 93 lx on the rear 1/4 panels that run along the hatch there is a few ripples on each side, they look to be where they 1/4's are welded to the roof, I know this car was never beat on becasue it is 100% stock and i bought it off a 60 year old man who was the original owner and swore he never even took it above 4500 rpm, lol. It was also never in a accedent or painted on. Any idea if this is normal? does anyone have any idea what i am talking about?

mine is the same way 90 hatch, i had 89 and another 90 they all are that way it is were they welded it together, sh1tty job by Ford.

Its normal.
That is where the roof was welded on to the rest of the car as you said. I have them too. If you wanted to go through the trouble then you could probably use a little bondo to level them out and repaint. I am holding out until I get my car painted. The seam really isn't that noticable.
