well 3.73's from the 2.73's that I had on the car mad a HUGE difference! when I used to launch on the 2.73's it would not spin em until it got into the power band around 2500rpm.. It felt like vtec.. it was really funny... my cam didn't like those gears.. but the 3.73's really woke the car up!! the only reason I'm debating going to 3.27's is because it's now turbo'd and I want a little longer gear. I also want to go to a 6 speed though as well, I want the car to be reliable enough to drive to texas if I so wished.. or just about anywhere.
Honestly...i don't think i enjoy having a "finished" car. I like gathering parts for a project instead
You have the right attitude. The only people who have "finished" cars are the ones who pay someone else to build them.
i was directed towrds 3.73's with my mods, not to say i'm making serious power in fact i'm really disappointed with my car pull.....i don't know if its the gears but it just seems slow and all torque(i know its 5.0 but it has some hp too..... but i can honestly say its a 1st-2nd gear machine should i got with 3:08's or a 3:27
you might benefit more from 308's with the turbos
what cars come with 3.08's from the factory? I'm determined to trade someone rear ends so I don't have to buy the gears and than have them installed
