Anyone else not liking short gears with their 5.0??

I know I have/had that issue with my car. I was bumping almost 7500 out the back door in 3rd on our 1/8 mile track, but the car actually made more MPH and ET'd better than it did when I shifted 4th. Not to mention it was one less shift to throw off the constancy in my ET's
