I broke the one on my tremec tonight, well I was in the drivethrough for the arby's and noticed my throwout bearing squealing, not really that loud, just noticeable, but I drove home put the light under it and there's a hairline crack it looks like. I know its steel so would it be possible just to weld it up? its about an inch and a half from the back. My trans is intalled correctly so spare me this plz..

just seeing if its normal? never broke one on my t5's

If you weld it, you'll probably burn all of the grease out of it. A new one is only about $15, but it's about 45 minutes of your time to replace. If you have a decent size floor jack, you just have to pull the trans back and slide it into place. PITA? Yes, but it'll ensure you continue to have trouble-free operation of your clutch.
