Anyone ever had a cracked/broken flywheel?ticking sound..

Hey guys

The ticking sound I thought was coming from the lifters is definitely louder under the car.

It sounds like it's coming from directly inside the tranny.
What could it be?
The ticking sound goes away at wot.....but down low it's pretty loud.

At idle it used to make a ticking sound but not anymore.

Does it go away if you push in the clutch?

No, I could rev it with the clutch pushed in and it's the same noise.


But the ticking is really loud right underneath the tranny.

hmmm.i got the same problem. only happens once in a while though after the car's been sitting for at least 8 hours...then it goes away by the time i drive down the road....

My ZX2 flywheel cracked recently. Tapping sound right from the tranny. Slowly got louder as weeks passed...
