hey i was drivin around today and i noticed that sometimes its hard to put my car into reverse (its a 5spd). Sometimes its like it doesnt want to push in until i wiggle it around or put it in 4th or 5th first, anyone else have this problem?

If you're at a stop you should put it in 5th anyway before you put it in reverse.. that slows all the crap down that's spinning in there or synchronizes something or other.. I do it out of habit now.. never had probs since I started doing that.

When I do that, it refuses to go in at all. I have to throw it n 1st, then reverse.

ok so its not necessarely not normal to have to play with it a little, thats what i wanted to know, in my 91 i always had to put it in 5th, so i guess il start doin that again, thanks guy

Yup. T-45 problem. I never had mine pop out once in though. I usually shift into 5th then reverse or 3rd, 5th reverse when it gets like that.

Note: One SN member here had started his Mustang in the winter to warm it in his driveway. A thief got into the car and attempted to back it out of the driveway and take off. The SN member ran outside and had time to kick through the driver side window and punch the thief all because the T-45 would go into reverse for him. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise.
True story.

Usually happens to me too...

Its usually when I first turn on the car... if I left off clutch I have to put it in first then back into reverse. If it doesnt work I try other gears to see if it goes in. Sometimes when I have the e-brake up it wont go in as well.
