Anyone ever re-do seat belt retractors?

Mine suck, especially on the driver's side. I'm thinking if I can get to the retractor and maybe wd-40 it some, it may work once again.

As for now, the damn thing doesn't want to retract.

Do you have to pull out the back seat to remove the rear interior side plastic panel? If so, how is this all done?

I wouldn't mess wth it as its a saftey related item, it's also a common problem on Mustangs, so common there is a TSB on this.
now the TSB kit is some Teflon tape and the kit is @$55.00 wholesale where a new shoulder belt is @$50.00 wholesale......a No-Brainer, I sell more of the shoulder belt kits than the repair kits

Thanks Randy. I'm guessing the dealer doesn't do TSB's for free?

unless the vehicle is in warranty or under ESP or another aftermarket warranty then no.

My passenger side seat belt sux, and dumb passengers not putting it on right doesnt help. I say no seat belt laws, let darwin have the effect on us who choose to protect ourselves and those who make fake seatbels and die in a crash.
