I may have found someone to swap rear bumpers with me (a V6 for my V8 bumper since I removed the tailpipes and essentially have "semi-dumps"), and am wondering what's involved. The front is fairly simple, so is the rear the same?

Fill me in....

Yeah.. I've removed my rear bumper... it is fairly easy to do. You need to remove the rear and side panels inside your trunk to access the bolts that hold the bumper on. There are 3 on the rear, and 2 on each side. There are two screws in the wheel well... you'll need to jack up the car (and possibly remove your rear wheels) to really get at these screws. Then, ti just comes right off.

make sure the 3 nuts below the tail lights are off. i missed one and took forever to find it! and the 2 nuts by the filler neck on the right side are a real PITA!

you dont have to lift the rear. i got to mine just fine when i took off the bumper. be careful when you remove the plastic "plugs" on the rear underside of the bumper
