Anyone ever ship a short block?

I just won a short block on ebay and I need to get it shipped from WA state to PA. Anyone know who can do this for cheap?

it cant really be done for cheap as it needs to be shipped truck freight.

I won a engine off of ebay about 2 years ago. The shipping was free for my motor. but I did see the shipping receipt. It was 130.00 through Roadway(at least that is the what the receipt showed.) My motor shipped from Rhode Island and went to South Dakota and the total ship weight was 525(including the crate)

use FedEx or Central Truck Lines, should be about $90 up, depending on how far it has to go

Word of the wise...DO NOT USE FEDEX! If you do, make sure they explain EVERYTHING to you.

I was going to ship my engine via fedex and they said it was going to be $125 with a 70% discount because it was my first time using them. I thought...great. Then they said....thats with insurance up to $100. I told them I needed additional insurance. When I told them I wanted it insured for $1000. The quote they gave me was $650 to ship it! Apparently, when you want additional insurance on something, you lose your discount and you are charged out the ARSE!!

I ended up going with RLCARRIERS.com. It was $175 from southern GA to Missouri. The engine I bolted to a pallet, along with a box of parts. It weighed in at about 600lbs give or take.
