Anyone have FRPP M5230M51 cat-back installed?

I am readng some great ans some horror stories about this. My welded in flows are falling apart and want to change the sound of my car. So this kit caught my eye (SS for less than $300)...

Anyone have any sound clips or experience with it? I know that even though it says 2.5" pipe it supposedly uses 2.25" mufflers... Not a problem at my power level.

I considered it, but found that I liked side exhaust more, and I was able to get a great deal on it so I went with it instead.

I have the above catback on my 95GTS. The fit and quality were excellent. The 3 inch tips look very good on our cars. Mine is installed with a bassani off-road xpipe and FRPP shorty headers and the sound is very nice. The system is much quieter than most systems I have heard. I got mine from CJ pony parts for 269.00.

JOEGTS, do you have any sound clips? all of the ones I have heard so far on on 4.6l motors with cats...

No, sorry I am not that computer savvy. The sound is closer to stock only throatier. They aren't near as loud as Flomasters.

DOH, that doesn't help me too much, I bought my car with the Flowmasters on it...

Does it resonate at 2krpm at all? does it resonate at any other RPM?

The system does not resinate at all. Very pleasant to drive. The only time the exhaust is loud is under hard excelleration of course. My car had flomasters when I bought it with non stainless tailpipes, thats why bought a new cat-back.

So this is definitely better than a stock system, right? I wonder how much less HP this kit makes compared to the traditional flowmasters/mac mufflers..

I am so torn, I really like my flows (except for the 3k resonance from them failing) but would like something quieter when I replace it next year.

Noone has any audio files of this on a 5.0????

The way I see it....just get it since it is a good deal for a stainless system. Then if the sound sucks, just swap out the mufflers.

And for about $350 (partshopper discount) you can get a magnaflow system, which is stainless. My magnapack was 356 to my door, and I think the traditional muffler system is cheaper then that.

Just somthing to keep in mind.

Yeah but it has the ricey tips, they look good on a 99-up but Im not too crazy about them on a SN95 or fox. Now if they had the angle cut tips like oem, flomaster, mac, dynomax, bassani, etc.. then I would be all over that deal.
