It's only a number but I guess if you want to become an "official member'' you need to post up in tech more often

Back in the day, posts in the talk section were counted. Then you had people just posting "+1." To combat this problem, posts only "count" when they are in certain sections of this forum.

guys still do that in teck or just a smiley. Thats how some guys have 4000 posts but only have been members 1-2 years.

If this was like before and all posts counted....Damn Kilgore would be over 30,000

Ain't nothing wrong with the +1 anyways, it tells the thread starter that he is not seeing just one person's opinion instead it is the agreed opinion of several people.
