Looking for a rollbar for a convertible that doesn't restrict rear seat access (2 kids) or front seat movement. They claim this does the trick (using the street version without the cross harness bar).

Anyone used their products?

If you put a roll bar in you cannot use your backseat anymore. Even padded, a roll bar would be very dangerous for back seat passengers.

I've also read that you shouldn't even drive the car without a helmet. Here's a thread about it on C-C.com.

Thanks for the thread, it was a good read.

Obviously, there is no definitive answer. I'm WAY more concerned with a rollover situation than a strapped in child's restraints failing and them hitting their head.

I think all the people citing the similarity with Jeep Wranglers are correct. If having a padded rollbar was an issue, massive lawsuits would have put that vehicle out to pasture decades ago.

Of couse, my opinion is based on a 4 point bar without an added crossbrace (used for harness or camera mounting).
