I'm needing to put mine on a car that did not come with them from the factory. I'd like to see how they are attached if you don't mind. Pictures are preferred, ASCI art is good too

Incidentally guys, even though the rib design cam about for "her" pleasure, if you are a selfish bastard like me, you can turn them inside out for your own pleasure ya know. 
OK, back on topic seriously though, I do believe that 67GTFastback has the ribbed panel. He should be able to tell you. I know he is online right now, so I'll PM him with the link.

Springs huh? I wuz wondering about that. The studs that come out of the back of these panels are quite a bit longer than seems necessary to reach through the rear panel. Cutting 12-16 holes into my tail light panel is going to feel pretty bad, I want to make sure I get it done right. Any info anyone has one how to bolt these babies up is appreciated.
that tail light panel is very replaceable though. Don't sweat that too much. You should see mine after the 67 Shelby tail light install ! Almost completely cut out 
I don't have one on my coupe but they should be a bolt on to any 67 or 68 car. I believe there is a slight difference between a Fastback and Coupe / Vert. I have seen a few off and on at swapmeets thru the years. If I remember correctly, the rear panel is two pieces (left and right). There should be 6 studs on each side that attach to the tail light in the same mannor as the chrome bezels. I am not sure but I believe the other end attaches to the fuel filler tube

There are two different sets, one for fastback and one for coupe/convertible. The difference is the shape of the upper edge.
By "spring nut" I meant a tinnerman style nut that turns into and grips the studs. My recollection is each had a fiber/adhesive washer on it to prevent the body hole from leaking air or moisture.
Sorry fellas for the delayed response, I was on a road trip for business but the computer was still logged in with AIM. Please do, since mine is was not there from the factory I'm going to have to do it myself. Mine is not a repro, it has the FoMoCo stamps and C7ZZ part numbers on them.67GTFastback said:

I think it was an option, either the grey or color coded to the car. Mine has a special color code - W5 - which means that the entire back panel is grey including the trunk lid lip and the rest of the rear panel which is not a part of the ribbed panel...I am not sure but I have seen some that are the same color as the body. I personally think it looks better when they are the grey...IMO. I will get some pictures this weekend and post them for you.
