Anyone have/used a sticky pod or other car camera mount?

My boss uses a "CruiseCam" in his 300c SRT8 - it works with headrests that have two posts (ours only have one). I keep meaning to get him to bring it to work to see if it will adjust down to fit on our single post headrests. He bought it about one month ago.

Yea that thing was cool. You need to find out if it fits out cars so I can get one.

Yep, Iggyshane hit the nail right on the head, my buddy and I used his camera mount to make this video...im not sure the brand, i can ask him and ill post up later.

I got scared at first because it just makes me nervous hanging a $500 camera off the side of the car, but he assured meit would hold well, so we did it, and its actually a vrey stout piece.

Paul, he got the mount from www.chasecam.com . Its the one with the 3 suction mounts....

In-Car Camera Mount Recipe

Ingredients
1 - 1/2" x 12" steel pipe
1 - 16ga, 6" x 18" steel plate
1 - 1/4-20 x 5.5" bolt
3 - 1/4" x 1" fender washers
1 - 1/4-20 shoulder nut
1 - 1.25" felt washer
2 - 2" exhaust clamps
4 - 3/8" wing nuts
1 - 1.75" rubber PVC coupler
JB "Kwik Weld" epoxy
Rustoleum "Hammered Metal" paint

1. Measure and mark shape of base plate, do not cut yet.
2. Mark and drill four 3/8" holes aligned with the two exhaust clamps.
3. Draw intersecting lines from the corners of plate, then mark and drill 1/4" hole at intersection (center point).
4. Cut plate as marked in step 1 (rotary tool or jigsaw with wood blade works well). *Keep fingers away from moving blade*
5. Grind edges of plate smooth and round corners with rotary tool,
grind off any burrs around holes drilled in steps 2 & 3.
6. Cut 1/2" pipe to 4.75", square/smooth ends with grinder.
7. Insert bolt with fender washer through center hole in plate, then through pipe,
add another washer to top along with nut. Center pipe on plate and tighten nut.
8. Mix equal parts "steel" and hardener from Kwik Weld epoxy.
9. Apply with plastic knife to junction of base plate and pipe. *DO NOT INHALE FUMES*
10. While epoxy is curing, spray all unplated hardware with Rustoleum paint (exhaust clamps).
11. Become impatient because "Kwik Weld" actually takes 4 hours to cure,
and spray paint the base and pipe 1 hour into curing time.
(Note: hammered metal paint does well hiding flaws created by curing epoxy vapors!)
12. Cut rubber coupler 'vertically' down molding seam.
13. Go to sleep, wake up 5:30 with epoxy vapor hangover (see step 9), spray paint bottom of base plate.
14. Install in car, then curse as you find the HDD based video camera won't work in-car because of vibration. @%*^$&!!!
