Thanks man! I'll check them out. San Ramon is really close to me so hopefully I can get in touch with them. If not I'll try apex. Are you in the east bay? Thanks again.

I got my car dyno tuned with a SCT chip from Apex around a month ago, Ed the tuner is a good guy. They seem to do pretty good work there. Let us know how dyno labs is if you check them out .

Thanks, as far as smogging goes, I have another year. But as long as it passes the sniffer, I don't think I'll have a problem with the person I normally bring it to.

Yup, that's a power sunroof I had installed back in 98.

The blower($2200) and install kit($900) came to about $3100 Then it just depends what you decide on as far as tune. I ended up getting an SCT tune from Apex(a couple of more hundred) I just ordered a smaller pulley and the snow performance cooling kit so I can safely up my boost to around 9psi. Hopefully I'll get it on in the next month or so, I will need another dyno tuning session and possibly bigger injectors. Damn this hobby is expensive. It all pays off when I take it to Sears Point or Thunderhill though =)

Apex in Santa Clara raised their prices right before my dynotune It was something in the upper one hundred range for an hour I think. Plus if you need to get the SCT chip, it's like $300 so figure 1 - 2 hours for tuning depending on what you want done. Ed the guy that does the tunes there is a good guy. I've seen a few cobras come out of there with awesome numbers while being safe.

Find out how familiar are they with tuning stangs? Almost every car Apex dyno tunes are Stangs and lightnings, fox bodies and modulars. Pricing sounds about the same.

My car will be there tomorrow and Friday getting retuned after they install a smaller pulley and boost cooler.

uhhh i guess you could, i would rather go with a "stang" shop. but hey if your short on the choices you could go that route.

i just got my dyno tune done last sat. he charged me 200 bucks flate rate.

i just brought them my predator and car and boo ya....

i guess it depends which route you go. i would say get a programmer like SCT or diablo if you can afford it. otherwise you can do the chip and it will be cheaper....

edit :green 4.6 let me know how you like the boost cooler, im really looking at getting this with a NOS kit. according to the website, the boost cooler lets you run full timing while spraying nitrous.... still not sure if im going to do it or not. and i know your running a blower not NOS. but i'm still curious to see what you think of it...thanks bro

Apex ran into a problem with the smaller pulley I gave them so they still have my car(not their fault). =( Since I have a track day at Thunderhill on Saturday, I am having them retune it with the boost cooler without the smaller pulley. I should have some numbers by Friday when I pick up the car. Hopefully they will be able to have a more aggressive tune with the boost cooler. I'll post it here as soon as I get my car back. I'm ordering another pulley from ASP and will have to have it retuned again in a few weeks.
