Sounds about right. Don't bother with talking to a lawyer until NWPP's lawyer talks to you or you get an official notice in the mail from the city or government office regarding the ticket. The issuing company are a bunch of nobodies in terms of having any form of authority.A private company? Forget about it - they don't even know who you are. Did you notice there's no information on the "ticket" that the writer couldn't get by just looking at your car? That's cuz they don't have any way of obtaining owner info. They aren't the cops, they can't run your plates.
"Tickets" issued by non-government entities aren't legally enforceable short of a lawsuit (your wife was parked on their property, presumably). "Northwest Parking Patrol" has no intention of suing anyone. They put that official-looking note on your wife's windshield in hopes of tricking you into paying. Throw it away.
LOL another time I got a parking ticket in CANADA. Yeah, good luck trying to get me to pay that ticket. I laughed as I pulled it off my windshield and threw it in the trash. Oh noes, teh Canadian military is gonna come for me and make me pay the ticket!!!1
It's tied to a completely different car than my Mustang. It was when I had my older POS, not my newer POS.Hmmmm..... I wonder what happens if you get stopped for a traffic infraction the next time you're up there. Or if the next time you cross the border, if your trip will end with "Please pull your car over there, eh?"

I know that it would have cost me a lot more to hire a lawyer to fight my speeding ticket than it would have been to just pay it after it was reduced. I guess it all depends on how much the ticket is and how much the lawyer is to see if it is worth hiring one to fight it.Dude, how much could the ticket possibly be for? I hired a lawer a couple of times and he did win all of my cases, and one of them was a neg. but that was about 7 years ago, and I don't know if he works there anymore or what it will cost now. But it was at Webber and Gunn. So good luck.
