Anyone know how to put an 87-93 rear seat into an 85?

I just picked up a black back seat from an 88 mustang hatch. The lower part of the seat is different from my 85s. My 85 just has a snap on each part of the lower. Does anyone know how to get my new seat to fit in the back. Even if anyone has a picture of the rear of an 87-93 car with the lower part of the back seat out.

Thanks.

87-89 mustangs never came w/ black interiors. the black seats you have come from 90-93 mustangs (those years came w/ black interior). the bottom does mount differently as you have noticed. just remove the black fabric from the lower seat cushion by removing all the little staples that hold in onto the cushion. reistall the new black fabric over you original rear seat cushion (after you have removed your original seat fabric) & reuse all the staples to hold the cover on like it was from the factory. takes maybe 5 minutes. :-)

You have to get the "U" shaped brackets that the 90-93s have for the back seats. Hardest part is getting the brackets in the right location to hold the seat in the correct postion. I tried it on my 86 and the front of the seats were sitting up for some reason. I just took them out and let the seat just rest in there and the seat belts hold in, since no-one ever really rode back there.
