Anyone know if side-exits are legal in MA?

i will be doing a side exit exhaust if i decide to do my turbo ( up in the air now, due to emmissions reasons) and was just wondering, for the people in MA, is it legal to dump the exhaust before the rear tire? thanks

any exhaust modification is illegal in massachusettes, but i have yet to get pulled over with my catless pipes

Thats hardcore. Here in KY its based on db level, but tis hard forn the cops to prove without a db meter. A good attorney can get the case tossed out or amended.

sorry but no true, there are many legal modifications you can do...
headers, highflow cats, and 50 state legal performance cat back systems
just to name a few.
in your situation (green mustang) unless it came routed that way factory
the answer is no. the only vehicles that i know will pass are trucks,
as long as it exits behind the rear cab corner..it legally does not have to exit under the r. bumper..

Which can still get you a modified exhaust ticket in the state of MA.

I know plenty of people who have gotten tickets in MA with nothing more than a cat-back exhaust.

MA sucks
