Anyone Know of a Good WA Transmission Shop?

Dropped the T5 out today to start installing the King Cobra clutch and flywheel. While doing it, a roller bearing hit me in the forehead. All I can think, is it came out of the speedometer cable hole and that I have a bearing inside that self destructed.

get ahold of jeff kaiser on here, he does good work from what i've heard? he was gonna do mine but it was almost as much to get a new one tho. if not then try vancouver transmision they are by AFP. peace

lakewood transmission in Lakewood, wa they do awesome work and every tranny shop is pretty much priced the same

Right now the only options I know of is either a Ford dealership or a new T5 from Ford Racing for $1149.95. I also posted this on the 5.0 forum and have received suggestions that it could be the reverse light switch plunger or a bearing out of the pilot bearing. Those are both good things to check tomorrow or Thursday. Maybe it won't come to a transmission job after all.

The pilot bearing sounds most likely. That would correspond to pulling the trans. Good luck.

Bel-Red Tranny in Bellevue is very good... they've serviced my stuff before, and that was a couple racing seasons ago... fairly inexpensive too
