Anyone know of any at home tweaks??

You can yank out the silencer - Pretty much does nothing

You can do the copper pipe mod
Stick the end cap of a pipe into one of your vacume hoses, the car will no longer hold its revs like mustangs do

You can do the throttle peddel mod
To me it would be a world of difference than having your damn throttle peddel hanging down 1+ inches. I've tried this but can't get anything to work yet

You can do the seat back mod
Makes your seats go back further

Ofcousre most of these won't do much for performance but knock yourself out!

There's not a lot to do to our cars if you use it for the street and are not trying to rip 500hp out of it. I have fun adding exhaust mods and using a predator tuner, and that's about it.

I've done everything with the intake. I've used a K&N FIPK, I've used a C&L trueflow pipe, I've used a K&N filter on the stock setup... the best thing to do with that is either leave it completely stock, or put the C&L tube in (just the pipe!) and use a paper filter.

Leave the silencer in, too - I don't get why people remove that at all. The 'silencer' actually sucks air in from the fenderwell instead of from the hot engine bay, therefore giving the car cooler air. After taking mine off, I put it right back on. I'd rather know my engine is getting cooler air!

The gas pedal mod is personal preference. I did it, then took it back off. I may do it again to try it out one more time to see if I can get used to it. I actually like the gas pedal being lower than the brake somewhat. The biggest deal to me about that though was that my car is setup perfectly in its original form, because the pedal hits the floor right as the throttle opens all the way, therefore taking the pressure off of the throttle wire. That way I won't run the risk of snapping it.

So yeah, not a whole lot of 'free' mods to do really.

What vacume hose would you put this in.. any detailed information ?

You gota look that mod up, but I think its one from the intake pipe after the maf. I never did it so I'm not sure.

As far as the gas being lower than brake, I hate it. Cus my foot gets stuck in there, especially when I wear sandals

You basically put the copper inside the hose that goes from your air intake tube(the biggest one under the hood) to you IAC valve, this lets less air in when the throttle blade is closed, therefore bringing the idles down quicker. Most people say they like it but i havent done it. Good luck!

I took a peek inside my fender well when I was putting in the filter and I don't know where the air's coming from. I saw 2 quarter sized holes at the bottom but other than that I don't know where it's sucking the cold air from. There are a lot of mixed views on this air intake silencer also. From what I understand it doesn't make a difference whether it's in or out.

I found that if I wax and polish my Stang, it slips through the air much more smoothly.
Recent testing at the track proves this theory,as I've discovered gains of up to .0000000000012mph have been found. I also knocked off .0000000001 seconds. in the 1/4 mile. I believe the gains may have been even greater, but for the use of the heavier wax I was using. I figure about .003 grams after buffing. :D

quite possibly the worst advice ever, but worth a good laugh

i forgot about the pedal mod. :nice: very cool mod that took me less than 5 minutes to do and seemed like it helped a bit.
