The little green plastic tube just broke on me. I was wondering if anyone knew what it was or does it need to be fixed. Its connected into the main harness and I dont know where it goes to. Its behind the passenger side strut tower.

Just slide a piece of vacuum hose over it and clamp it if necessary...it's just vacuum line to the EGR solenoid.

What color wires are running to those 2 solenoids? If 1 is DG & R, it's the EGR vent solenoid and not much of a problem. If the other is Y & R, it's the EGR control solenoid and I don't think your EGR valve can operate without it.

Since he's in PA, he has to pass the NEW emissions inspection they have now. He really needs the EGR.

Whats this NEW inspection thing youre talking about? I thought any new emmissions things only applied to newer cars(96 and newer maybe?, dunno).

Just what I heard from some of the guys in some dealerships. Everyone is compaining because they have to spend over $5,000 for the new equipment to test properly. I don't know what years it applies to or when the deadline is for it to begin. Here in NY the major cities have been doing it for years and some of the others states are moving in that direction, also. Anyway, glad you got your problem handled!

yeah i believe its 95 or 96 or newer cars only.
They plug directly into the cars computer and test that way.
NJ has been doing it for a while now.
even though I still was able to do the emissions test the old way i still failed two time and finally passed the third time by getting exactly the limit.
And I dont have the EGR connected by the way.
