Do a search on you tube for "through the fire and the flames". That whole song is a solo.

The lead guitar work was good, double bass drums ...good, wussy lead singer and wussy voice....not so good.
Just my .02 and I couldn't make it to the end of the video but to each thier own.

two of friend are into all sorts of metal and have showed me that video which is about the only metal i can stand. respect to the solo dude because i know the talent it takes, but personally i cant listen to metal. just sounds like a pissed off screetching cat knocking a trashcan around a raquet ball court.

i can see the talent, but not my cup of tea.

Yeah I saw them at Ozzfest this year... IMHO they suck, I guess the band is OK but the lead singer sounds totally gay. As recomended above defiantely see In Flames and Children of Bodem. The new Lamb of God, and the new Hatebreed are also must haves...

In Flames is the ****, I really dont like dragonforce, it sounds like video game music and the guys cant pull off the solos live.

Oh yeah, I have all of that. I love Bodom. The gods made heavy metal, and they saw that it was good!

i like them. my family supplies the instrument cases to Kamelot as well as a ton of other bands and solo artists.
Metallica live was awesome. Godsmack live was just so-so, but they were opening for Metallica.

best guitar solos ever are from Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. saw them a few weeks ago at teh House of Blues in Hollywood, that was an awesome concert.

Keytar = GHEYEST INSTRUMENT EVAR.

I saw the first video, showed it to my 16 year old daughter. She thinks they're awesome.

I think they have a keytarist.

you have to play an instument like guitar or bass to actually appreciate the band...they dont appeal to the non musicians.

also prolly the best group of musicians assembled in a progressive metal band is Dreamtheater.

Dragon Force's guitarists can play fast as crap, and thats cool but theres not too much variety, thats like all they do... lol.

I agree, its pretty cool stuff though. I listen to them every once and a while.

I saw In Flames and Shadows Fall live, both of them put on a GREAT show live, but I like Shadows Fall alot more.

Another GREAT, AMAZING, KILLER newer metal band is Trivium... holy crap. Anything from their first CD to their newest one rocks like hell.

I also am just getting into Children of Bodom, and I like Hammerfall aswell.

Trivium sounds like the next thing I will be checking out. That, and Shadows Fall. Gotta hunt down some torrents.

I agree that Dragonforce does get a bit repetative. Almost all of their songs sound the same, but whenever I get tired and switch to something else for a while, then come back to them, they always seem sweet. I'd been on a Bodom/Devildriver kick for like a month now. I'm burning a Sonata Arctica cd right now, even though I think the lead singer sounds even gayer than the Dragonforce guy does. They still rock, dammit.

Yeah definatly check out Trivium and Shadows Fall.

For Trivium, I reccomend any of their CD's... Ember To Inferno, Ascendancy, and The Crusade, in order of release.

For Shadows Fall, I would start with The Art of Balance, or The War Within. Fallout From the War sucked, it was a filler CD and would give off a bad impression of the band.

Ive seen both Trvium and Shadows Fall live, both were killer. I do like Trivium more, they had better tone.
