I just got offered a promotion to a plant in Pinellas Park, FL and would be moving into the Tampa area. I'd most likely live in Clearwater.

Anyone live near there?

What's there to do? Is it a good place for people in there 20's. Just any feedback on the area would be appreciated.

I'd be moving down by myself and wouldn't know anyone, but I just can't turn down the offer.

I live in pinellas park and work in clearwater, there's a good amount of stuff to do around here between the beaches and ybor city (night clubs) and local bars. car meets, local 1/8mi dragstrip, 1/4mi strip not far away, etc.

Lots to do in that area. As mentioned above. Plus there are a ton of Stangs in the area and you can race year round.

My friend Mike lives in Tampa hes got an 01 Cobra with a KB on it. He posts over in 4.6 and the North East SSOM thread. DoubleOnegative

thats awesome man. i got a promotion to move to wilmington nc from charlotte a few years ago and i moved alone. its been quite an experience. im sure tampa is way better than wilmington. im sure you will love it and it will be the time of your life.

I've lived in North Tampa for the last few years and really enjoy it. I hope to hit a few car shows this Fall/Winter when the weather cools down. I just need to get the car cleaned up. Maybe I will see you there.

Thanks for your replies. I emailed my resume on Monday and if I'm officially offered the job, I'm gonna take it. Hopefully I'll be starting 2008 in Florida.

Where in Tampa Palms? I live in Emeralds point right by the Lowes.

I used to live in the Apartments down the street from the Olive Garden. Now I have a house on Cross Creek. I guess Im considered "New Tampa" now.

I just spent the last week in Clearwater and the surrounding area. Very nice, clean area. Seems like plenty of stuff to do, and I saw a ton of trick stangs running around on I-19.
