Anyone looking for rims....

thanks kev, i think i found the tires i'm going to go with :D

Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s :D- 235.99 each for the bigens :D i bet you fox guys wish you could fit 285's up front ;) hahaha :D

out of 5.
Dry-4.2
Wet-3.9
Handling -4.1
Comfort-3.7
Noise- 3.7
Treadwear 3.5

UTQG rating is - 280-AA-A :nice: (checked the treadwear on the comp T/A stockers just to see, its 440  )

seems not bad for the price

edit, the only downside is they are heavy.. they are 10 lbs heavier each than the estca MX's (more expensive, roughly same preformance) 30 lbs per tire is a bit heavy, so hopefully the rims are lighter than the stockers, or i might have to bite the bullet and get the more expensive ones.

Those rims are going to look awesome on your car. I'm in the same boat. My Chrome 03 Cobra's came in yesterday. 2-17x9 and 2-17x10.5. I'm looking at 315's for the rear. :D They are going to be some big meats. When you said 440 for the T/A's, is that bad treadwear? I don't have a clue what is a good number there. I was looking at getting those.

i'm not 100% sure how the treadwear works, but the example i found was..

The ratings are based on controlled conditions based on a particular course. A tire graded 150 would wear 1 and a half times as well as a tire graded 100. Traction ratings are AA, A, B, and C, from highest to lowest. This measurement indicates a tires ability to stop on wet pavement. Temperature ratings are as follows from highest to lowest: A, B and C. These measurements indicate the tire's ability to sustain high temperatures which often cause tires to wear away quickly or in extreme conditions lead to sudden tire failure.

UTQG rating is as follows treadwear-traction- temperature.

so 440 is REALLY good, but they also dont hook for crap... and are usless when wet... any preformance tire will be from roughly 200-260 usually.. some are a bit higher.. if you want good tires, you deal with ****ty treadwear :notnice:

wich bfg's are you talking about??? the ones kev posted have ****ty treadwear also.. by comp ta's i meant the gatorbacks that are stock on our cars... they have good treadwear, but ****ty everything else... and i dont think they are too expensive...

g-force t/a's = expensive and good traction, but not great treadwear..
comp tas = crap lol

go to the 10.10 tires webiste and have a look they have some decent prices, depending on what you want

Sorry, I was talking about the G-force T/A's. I was looking at 315's in them and they are around $500 each.
When you get the wheels on your car you gotta post pics. I want to see how good they look. I love the 00 Cobra R's.
Right on, I'll check out that website.

ORDERED!!! :D (18x9 00R's), if anyone wants the stock GT wheels/tires shoot me a PM :D

thank you jordy for spending my money for me  but oh well, the price was better than I could even find on ebay (for shatty knockoffs mind you)

if anyone can find me some decently priced 275-35-18s that would be great, joe i was thinking of going with the kumho's if you could pm me where you got them..

I paid 1275 for the Kumhos I bought last year. For 18's Tire Trends has them for $353.79. Best price you will probably find.

440 is the price. Treadwear ratings are mostly useless. The number represents the amount of tread compared to the companies longest lasting tire..... There is no standard so the system does not work. It was implimented because the government said it had to be. If you stick to one brand of tire your whole life it may work out for you but thats it.

i was talking about the stock gatorbacks kev... not the gforce ta's.. and they sure as hell better not be 440 for the comp tas ;)
