Carfax rags on my car, but then again, it has some incorrect info. My county wasn't a flood victim though the hurricane did result in FEMA coming in. The car was with me in North Texas though

I've had the car longer than 8 months and don't have a clue why it states that it was put back up for sale

CarFax does not rag on your car, and they do not have any incorrect info...I guarantee it. If the FEMA declared your county as a flood disaster area, there was probably at least an inch that was touched by flood.

The CarFax report says that the car was offered for sale on August 2, 2001. I am assuming that the car has now had 3 owners, including you. I am also assuming that you have not yet transferred the title into your name. If you have, then it has not been reported to the DMV. The reason that it says that owner 2 owned the car for an estimated 6 months is because the car was reported with a new owner on January 27, 2001, and was then offered for sale on August 2, 2001. That's 6 months and 6 days, rounded to the nearest month, thus resulting in 6 months estimated ownership.

Now please tell me that you bought the car from a dealership on or around August 2, 2001...

The title is in my name (as shown on the carfax on 1/27/01) but the august 2nd part I don't quite understand? My car hasn't been up for sale?
