You would think that Koni would be making MII shocks for the front with all of the aftermarket uses these days. I bought some rears years ago, and thought I would find fronts eventually...
Koni does have a rebuilding service, so if you could find some used you would be in business.
Otherwise keep checking eBay.
I bought a set of KYB GR2 shocks for my MII, but have not installed them yet. They should be better shocks for performance driving than garden variety Monroe's, but they won't be the equal of a set of adjustable Koni's. In fact KYB also makes a even higher performance front shock the Gas A Just. Mustangs Unlimited carries all of these.
Speedway Motors carries AFCO shocks for mini stock racing, so they should be valved a bit harder than factory shocks also.
I bought a set of Koni front shocks from Summit this past summer when I had my Cobra II. I also have a set of heavy duty 425 ft/lbs springs in my garage

Most drag shocks are 90/10 (jounce/rebound?) to get the front end in the air on starting. Street cars need more like a 50/50 shock. Most Koni's are adjustable, but I don't know if these drag shocks are or if they could get close to 50/50.
On the webpage it says that they are adjustable and it also says they rebound faster than most other 90/10's. I dont know if thats really true or how mush faster they really would. though.

Amazingly, save those brands mentioned in that earlier list, this was a non-stop parade of horror, including, but not limited to:
Adjusters that did absolutely nothing;
Adjusters that had more crosstalk effect than they had primary effect (ie, a rebound adjuster where 1 click made a 10% change in rebound and a 30% change in compression);
Adjusters that were nonlinear and exponential;
Adjusters that peaked in the middle of the adjustment range (in one example, "full hard" was softer than "full soft");

Actually the "HD" would probably be fine for most uses...might be interesting to compare to KYB's shock as they are in the same price range.
I don't see a MII listing on the Penske Shocks site, but they would probably build you a custom set...
Not on his list is Chris Alston, who also has custom-made shocks which are double adjustable, and expensive. I wonder how they stack up? There are offerings for the MII (front and rear), but I don't see any offers of a shock dyno chart: Products and Services
