my dads selling a 96 chevy chyanne, its the boxed looking truck, befor the silverado came out... its like show room Clean and 70k original miles.. 1st owner well maintaind... and the engine looks like it was just put in yesterday... So clean, id buy it but is sucks in the winter on ice and snow.. only 7500 OBO.. lol anyone intrested ill post picks...
michigans not that far of a drive either!

lol dont turn this into a sales thread... well im pretty set on one.. i want to lift it and put some boggers on there.. considering theres plenty o swamps around here.. and the famous "killing" hole about a mile away from my house.. many o 4x4s have gotten broken just trying to get through it.. found a 97' though.. has a 8.8 in it.. and full SAS front end swap.. 6" lift.. be perfect for me lol

not to go off topic...but how much is it to lift it? I've always loved the look of a little lift in a truck.

pricewise: $400-$2000 depending on how much lift, type of front susp., and what all is in the kit, and what brand kit. or $100 for a body lift.

workwise(TTB FS) : front and rear springs (or blocks in the rear), drop pitman arm, extended brake lines, extended radius arms or drop brackets, maybe longer driveshafts. im probaly leaving somethin out.

depending on how worn out the front susp isi took and adjusted the torsion bars up almost all the way and got about an 11.5 wirth of lift there, then u can get a lift block for the rear for like $40 at the zone. and then u can put a bigger tire fore more lift. thats what i did, i went from a 245/75/16, to a 265/75/16 on stock rims. but i dont off-road at all so i dont need a monster lift. i think it looks nice too, cause it sits almost as high as some full size trucks.

Working at the dealership we sold a ton of used Rangers......great little truck, very few problems but i would recomend the 4.0 for the 4x4. The 3.0 was ok in the 2wd but a slug with 4x4's

yea thats what i figured.. drove a mazda B3000 today.. 3.0L automatic.. 4x4.. it was a nice truck.. but i'd really like to find a truck with a make of four letters.. just to represent the right side of the gun.. lol

They are built by ford, says it all over the truck. Sometimes they are a bit cheaper than rangers.

I drove the '93 4x4 with a 3.0 that my cousin had and it was alot faster than the 2wd S10 with a 2.8 v6 I had.

i wouldn't buy a ranger for speed lol, my buddy beat me with his zx3 focus lol. i said i could take him on the trails though

meh.. i can do that on my bicycle.. but GOOD DEAL folks.. i got a truck finally.. now just to sell the Z28.. 99' ranger.. 4x4.. 4 door super cab.. green on tan.. needs interior work and some body work.. but it's all there.. 3.0L automatic.. 2000 bucks.. bring er home tommorow.. first thing i'll do it tighten to tortion bars and pick up a inch or two lol

I wouldn't recommend cranking the torsion bars. It's not bad at an inch or so, but if you go too much it will wear out the front suspension components very quickly. If you do it, make sure to get a front end alignment.

cool sounds just like mine except i have a 4.0. how do you tighten the tortion bars? i never heard of this

you just turn the nut at the end of them, it just makes them push down harder
