I just picked up Baer Brakes for my car and was wondering if anyone has ever polished the rotors, this is the kit I bought and was thinking of lightly sanding em down and polishing them for a nice shine.

would it work?

Most people paint them, I have not heard of polishing them.

No sense doing it.

If you polish the hat area, it'll rust eventually.

If you polish the area where the pads contact, eventually it'll tarnish anyway.

Paint the hat area where the rotor doesn't contact.
