Posted this question in Sound and Shine and got no response, so I'm asking here. I know a lot of folks have done the white-faced gauges, but has anyone refinished the needles? Mine are getting that funky faded yellowish look instead of the bright orange color they came stock...

yep, did them...

They come off pretty easy, with a fork as long as your gentle with em.
Brush painted on, but a toothpick helps to get the paint to roll into the thin/tiny area just on the base of the needle.
I also went back and brush painted the black base of the needle.
Dont put the paint on too thick, since the backlight on the cluster is what shines through, allowing the needle to light up in the dark.
From the factory, they are painted on the backside. Mine still shine through decent with them painted on the frontside, with a couple coats of paint.
But wow does it make the gauge cluster look 10 times better.

Edit: nevermind my milage, mistake,lol

Awesome guys! I knew it could be done, and it looks from the pics that it makes a world of difference.

Any tips on getting the needle off the seat? I'd imagine these things are pretty fragile, so I don't want to put too much pressure on them.

And hey, thanks again for the replies! It seems I was asking in the wrong place when I hit up Sound and Shine, hehe.

Oink, after taking the needles off, how did you align them again? I removed my gas needle recently, and had to keep taking the needle off to try & get the guage read OK.
