anyone run or jog here??

whats good to drink besides water? i can't just drink water unless im playing sports etc... i went on a diet soda spree for the longest! and never could get used to it.. so i went back to drinking coke!


im going to be joining a gym next month as soon as i get down to fl... i guess then i will only start drinking water...
 
I run 30 minutes 3 times a week for cardio. But I do weight training 5 times a week. And I eat lots and lots of clean food. I honestly don't know how I maintain my 175lb weight. I eat constantly but I also workout hard. Finally got my max bench to 275, deadlift to 435, and squat to 390 on the bar. Fun stuff.

A diet soda every now and then is ok. My favorite is tea with sweet and low. I kill that stuff lol. Don't drink to much juice because they has lots of sugar...basically water is your friend man. I don't see why people have trouble drinking water. It tastes better than anything else to me.
 
I mostly lift now, I'm getting back into running. I lift 6 days a week, and that's pretty intense.

I drink gatorade before and after my workouts, and room temperature water during. You sweat out a lot of "stuff" you need, so that's why I drink before and after. The room temp. water is best during your work out.

As for running, I played high school lacrosse. That was pretty intense. I'll probably never be in that kind of running shape again, but my goal is to run 3-5 miles 5 or 6 days a week.
 
when running or doing cardio the big thing is to get your heart rate up for at least 30 min. double yor normal heart rate is your target zone and you want to keep it there. so no slowing down if you can help it. make sure to do your cool down stretches when you are done. they are jsut as important as your warm up stretches.
