Just wondering if this is the correct system I need to buy. I've had a thread on Corral for a week or so trying to find a used one but no one seems to have one for sale. BTW, anyone have any feedback on fitment, quality etc? Gotta have a straight through catback and im looking for something cheaper than magnaflow/borla prices and I keep coming back to this, plus Ive had a single ultra-flo on the car before and liked how it sounded. Thanks

This the correct system?

Nice

The Ultraflow (when new) is pretty quiet honestly, my buddy has that set.

I have read online that they don't use a quality sound deadner (like Magnaflow who uses spun volcanic rock) and that over time it will burn out and the thing will sound like a glass pack.

No first hand experience but I have heard they get louder and lose definition over time.

Magnaflow all the way!

magnaflow burns out just as quick, if not quicker. Any muffler that uses sound deadner will burn out eventually. My ultraflows sound great.. they're a fully welded muffler, and have gotten louder since I put the bassani ORX on.. I like them alot.. quiet at idle and cruising speeds, and then you nail it and all hell breaks loose :nice:

Though it's a 4.6, its the same mufflers as in the kit you buy for a 5.0 car.. i just looked em up that way. Welded into stock catback with a bassani aluminized ORX. I only revved to like 4k

I really, really, REALLY need to get off my arse and get some video/audio of my car one of these days for some decent recordings for examples. I have all the goods to import video, I'm just lazy and always have an excuse not to. (Car is dirty, outside lighting isn't good, other projects take priority, etc.) ...

FWIW, Pypes has some video/audio clips on their site, but they're kinda low-quality samples, and they're mostly on a '94-'95 GT that sounds different than most Foxes...

Be warned, Violators (hence the name) do NOT sound anywhere close to stock. On a turbo car, though, they would still be quite reasonably civil. :nice:

Thanks guys, the pypes exhaust probably isnt what im looking for then.:( The dynomax ultraflo I had on my car was decently quiet and it was just a single at the time.

Going to have to figure out something soon though, open downpipe is loud.
