anyone seen a black hood on a fox?

hey guys i have an 85 gt that is a porsche red.. getting a will be repainting car or most of it... i love the old muscle cars and stangs i see with black hood and was thinking about doing that..i will be buying a 2 1/2 inch cowl hood i wanna do it but cant picture it.. anyone have pics of a fox with a black cowl hood? preferably pre 87 but any will do..
p.s ive seen this on 2005 + cars and it looked badd a**!

Here's my buddy's old coupe with a flat black cowl hood....Everyone loved it black but i think just the cowl section would have looked better in black, otherwise it looks like you got a new hood and haven't painted it yet.

alright thanks that helps alot i dont think it will like like an unpainted hood tho...i want it a really highgloss black...

Not the year you were looking for, but thought it would give you an idea. I got the hood from a buddy that was parting his out, and I was planning to get it painted, but after I got it installed I liked it. I wasn't the only one, when I talked about getting my car painted I would hear "leave the hood black". When I do eventually get it painted, I think I will go two tone on the whole car, black on top, red on the sides.

The hood being black or whatever is "hotrod" but other body panels.... don't even think about it.

i think it would look great with the original hood decal flat black and the rest of the hood porsche red like the rest of the car.

edit: oh you can see my buddy toms flat black modified stock hood. hes got an efi 351 with an edelbrock intake...he had some clearance issues..lol

WOODY, nice job on the hood but i have to say not so good on the buddy who ever did it. either they didnt take the time or didnt measure right

Thanks, that was my idea, top of fenders, up pillars, across roof, down hatch and wing. I will half to because I converted it to a LX and now it has a blue nose, black hood, flat black rear bumper and trim. I need to get it running first. If it's going to be ugly it better be fast.

Heh, story of my life dude...lol It ain't easy on cruise night being the guy running the primered car with rusted out doors, but when i turn the key they usually shut up I've got doors going on this winter but i paint won't be for a while.

thanks, but the other guys hood was a spare hood he used as a temporary fix. his other hood is all painted and has ghost flames on it, but when he switched to the 351 he couldnt use it.
