Anyone switch from auto to 5 speed and still using the auto computer?

I'm going to switch a 95GT to a 5 speed and was wondering what would happen if I used the auto computer.Thanks

i heard u can still do it but u need to do something so that the computer thinks the tranny is in neutral or else youll get some hesitation where the auto tranny is programmed to shift
