Anyone use a C6 in a fox body?

C6 & C4's in a Fox Body Stang is a VERY popular and easy swap. The C4 is probably a bit more commonly found in SBF Fox Body's as they are smaller in size and lighter and can still handle large amount's of power when built proparly. By all mean's though C6 is definetly the toughest Ford built Auto if you want a good tranny backing you up and like I said above the swap is pretty easy.

Would like someone to elaborate on the C-6 compatablity issue a little more. Someone is offering me a C-6 for an extra AOD I have and I was wondering if it was worth taking him up on, not knowing how easy the C-6 would bolt up to the 5.0 or what custom work would be needed, or even what the specs on the C-6 are.

Dont mean to steal the thread but I think it would answer some questions for both of us. :nice:

the bellhousing is an integral part of the c6 tranny, meaning it does not come off. so if you are getting a c6 from a big block, it won't fit a 302. it takes up approximately 60 hp to run while the c4 only eats 40. maybe it takes 40 hp to run, i know this one for sure but i can't remember now. it weighs like almost 100 pounds or maybe more, i have one in a truck and had to carry it by myself a few times.
