has anyone used a VARIO-CENTRIC CAMBER ADJUSTER KIT on a 65-66 mustang? I purchased one of these and its in the mail, and had a few questions as I am putting my frontend back together.

Can you remove the shims all together using this kit? what should I look out for when installing / adjusting using this?

Any help greatly appreciated

Yes - No more shims for camber. The shop may use some to set caster if you don't have adjustable strut rods.

Follow the directions that come with the kit. If you don't have a welder, you'll have to get one or have someone install the kit for you. The directions will have a starting set up that will work long enouph to get you to the alignment shop.

The alignment shop will have to adjust the kit for you. It may be hard to find a shop that is willing to do it. Some won't.

The hard part is making a slot out of a round hole in the lower mounting point. I used a drill and carbide burr. It's a lot easier with the motor out.

Did my 66 in 2002, so far so good. Just like opentracker said. I used a dremel tool with a ceramic tile cutter bit from sears that cost $7.95 to enlarge the round hole, then tic welded the plates. This actualy gave me 3 positions for camber aligment but still some shims were used to correctly get the factory settings.
