I have some broken tabs and what not on some of my interior parts. When my radio was stolen they took the entire center bezel and wound up breaking the tabs inside the dash that it bolted up too.

So, i've been looking for a way to fix the dash with out buying a new dash for $300+. I ordered this stuff called Plastex, and Im hoping it will come tomorrow. Im kinda anxious to see if it works as advertised.

Supposedly you can create a mold of mounting tabs / rethread plastic with it. It comes with a molding bar to make the new tabs. I guess its an all around plastic repair kit.

Im really hoping it comes tomorrow so I can stop the squeaking!!!!

Anyway... pics of what mine looks like, and what it is supposed to look like.

Looks like im going to need to repair the 94 one as well if this stuff works!!!!

The only plastic repair kit I have seen that works is this stuff that is a two part epoxy specifically meant for plastic. With an epoxy gun this stuff works great! You can sand/paint it in a 30 minutes!!

If all else fails, check with the sportbike crowd. They are often repairing their fairings with products like this.

Good luck.

I got the stuff the other day.

I just hit the molding bar with a heat gun and molded the mount on the 94.

Worked pretty well.

Now I just have to load a bunch of powder into it, squeeze some liquid in and see how it works.

Ive got pics of the mold, and i'll be taking pics of the repair.
