Anyone with a straight shot, get in here!

I was wondering if any of you have had any problems with the straight shot after the install. My car idles and drives good but when you go to stab the throttle i get detonation for a split second and then it goes away. Ive ran it up to 6000 rpm and had no problem except when you stab the throttle. Ive talked to Mac and they said it sounds like its running a tad lean but the only other thing i have done is a catback. Im running 89 in it right now, should i run 93 to see if that cures it. I pulled a couple of plugs and they look fine, a small amount of white on the ends but nothing excessive.

Any suggestions will greatly appreciated.

try running 93 and see if that helps, if not u gotta pull that maf that came with the system cuz all it does is trick your electronics into leaning out the a/f ratio, thats whats giving u trouble. good luck

Lose that MAFS! Put your OEM MAFS back in.

I guess after you do that, there really isn't much point in buying that kit, is there?
